Home Alone

Last week, Hubby went on a business trip to Malaysia and Singapore for six days. That left me alone at home for almost a week! Good thing I had work and school to fill up most of the days. I don't really like Hubby going on a business trip on weekend because we usually spend weekends together, but this time he had to be away, and a long weekend at that! At least Saturday was spent at a convention for accountants, and Saturday evening with my college barkada. Sunday was spent with my family and classes. We had to conduct make-up classes because of the two typhoons the past two weeks. I also had to go to school Monday eventhough it was a holiday.

Despite the "busy" days, I still had a lot of time in my hands and I took advantage of the time to catch up with DVDs. I had a marathon of the following:

1. Brothers and Sisters - starring Sally Field and Calista Flockhart about a family.
2. Friday Night Lights - I love this show! It's about a highschool football team and the lives of its coach and players. I was quickly addicted to it. Can't wait to get my hands on new(er) episodes. It's already in the second season in the US, and I only have the first 12 episodes of Season 1.
3. CSI New York - I started one episode, but got paranoid because I was alone, I didn't really want to watch murders!

My meals were oatmeal, pan de sal and bottled sardines because I was too lazy to prepare anything else.

I told Hubby he should let me tag along on his next business trip! His next business trip is to Hongkong. Abangan!

Hey, I love "Brothers & Sisters!" What episode/s did you see?

Natugom ako sa pan de sal + sardines combination. Sarap!

Hey D! Talaga you watch it? I've watched the first 13 episodes pa lang of the First Season. I understand that Second Season is about to start na in the US. Pan de Sal and sardines is good for the first few meals, pero kung araw-araw and you have it for dinner and breakfast, kakasawa na!

Reg, my husband and I watched AND recorded every episode of "Brothers & Sisters" Season 1. Loved pretty much every character except Rebecca and every storyline not involving Rebecca. Very sad that gay bro broke up with cutie-pie waiter. Eagerly awaiting Season 2 which I think starts on Sept 30.

PZ, you are hysterical. Leave Gossip Girl to the teenagers! Ikaw talaga ;^)... watch "Ugly Betty" if you don't already do so. Not really chick lit but very clever and very well-made.

More hugs,
D

Hi! PZ, those shows look interesting, can't wait to watch those. Even Gossip Girl looks interesting, ala Cruel Intentions kaya yan? Cashmere Mafia looks good too, is it already showing? I also have Ugly Betty, but haven't started it yet. That will be next after I finish Brothers and Sisters. Gay bro is so funny!

Reggie, you'll love "Ugly Betty." Top quality entertainment 'yan.

PZ, I think "Heroes" Season 2 premieres Sept 24. How much do you love that show? My friends are fans but I can't bear to watch it because I can't stand the sight of that Hayden Panettiere chick.

OK, darlings. Gossip Girl premieres Sept 24; Cashmere Mafia premieres Dec 4 with a sneak preview on Nov 27. No one interested in Private Practice, the Grey's Anatomy spin-off?

D, am insterested din in Private Practice. In fact mas gusto ko si Addision than kay Meredith. Minsan kakainis na si Meredith.

Oh goodness, I also like Addison and pretty much every other character in Grey's except Meredith Grey herself! Private Practice premieres Sept 26. Yummy cast with Taye Diggs and Tim Daly.
