Mall of Asia

The family and I love going to the Mall of Asia, if not for the crowds during weekends, it will be one of our favorite malls because of its location by the bay. This Sunday was one of the rare occasions when we chose to meet at Mall of Asia. I chose the restaurant for the family, having read about the Tokyo Cafe in numerous blogs. I was a bit disappointed that there were no sushi and sashimi, but the Unajidon (unagi with japanese rice) was really good. Their hamburger steak with shrimp tempura was also good. And they have great desserts of ice cream, fruit and crepe combinations. Best part of the day was being with my family and seeing my niece S and her beautiful smile. My sister T and BIL are currently in Hong Kong for work.

Happy A to Mr. and Mrs. V

The barkada met up to celebrate the 13th Anniversary of our dear friends JV and DV. We agreed to go to the Atrium of SM Megamall where there are newly opened restaurants. The first ones to arrive decided on Gumbo because of its varied selection of seafood dishes. Although it was the V's anniversary, it was supposed to be a KKB gimmick. But... well the V couple generously picked up the tab!:-)

Fun Weekend at New World Hotel

Our weekend at New World was truly relaxing, our room was large, yet really cozy and comfortable. Our favorite part is taking advantage of the Executive Lounge where we had cocktails (actually dinner for us) while taking advantage of free wifi on our first day. We also ordered red wine and had cheese and walnuts to go with it. The next morning, breakfast was also served at the Executive Lounge, where we had a selection of bread, cold cuts, fruit and cereal. We also enjoyed made to order eggs benedict with salmon, french toast, bacon and sausages.

We invited my family for lunch at the hotel's Cantonese resataurant Jasmine. We had the best dimsum -- xiao long bao, hakaw or hargao, shrimp balls and their specialty fried dimsum of abalone and mushrooms. We also had the best Garlic and pepper spareribs and Fried rice with white egg. We now have a new favorite Chinese restaurant. Loved the ambience by the way!

Weekend at New World

E and I both agreed that we both needed a break -- and decided to spend the weekend at the New World Hotel in Greenbelt, Makati. We're staying at the Executive Floor and we are just waiting for the free cocktail food to be served at the Executive Lounge while enjoying their free wifi. We're starving!
