We Love Ikea!
Just a short post on a brand that Hubby and I love, Ikea. Our first exposure to the store was in Hongkong about 7 years ago, and we have loved it since then. Everytime we are in Hongkong and Singapore, we would buy a lot of items that we could easily bring back home. Our purchases have so far been limited to candle holders and napkin holders (plus the usual supply of tea light candles and colored paper napkins), picture frames, rugs, toilet paper holders, wall lamps, bedsheets and pillowcases, silverware, wine racks and kitchen towels. We would love to live in either Singapore or Hongkong so we can furnish our home with all things Ikea:-)

Agree that IKEA offers fabulous home accessories at great value, but furniture, oh boy... as someone whose first apartment was 50% furnished with IKEA, let me say that IKEA furniture is wonderful until you start assembling it... at which point isusumpa mo 'yan ;^).
Am proud to have almost single-handedly assembled my first bed, entertainment center, work desk and bookshelf, all purchased from IKEA as a fresh MBA grad in 1997, but swore that once magkapera ako, I would never, ever buy knock-down furniture again.
However, 10 years later, I find myself once more furniture-shopping at IKEA -- but only because my husband will take care of building the stuff.
Of course, all of the above is just my opinion. My husband, my in-laws and several good friends are die-hard IKEA fans.

Talaga? You assembled everything? Galing mo naman, am proud of you! Can't imagine doing it myself, but E is really good at it. I love the furniture talaga, and I always wish that I can buy those someday.
Actually, easy lang naman to set up simple pieces like tables and bookshelves. Things get tricky when you've got parts designed to move(as in glide, turn, rotate, etc) -- or when you're as short as I am and you're building big, tall, heavy stuff.

hey there! I saw in bbc channel that they're now building IKEA homes. Cool, isn't it?
