E and I are excited about our new "reinventing dates" plan. We plan to spend weekends biking -- and it could be somewhere as near as just within our village, or somewhere scenic like the Fort or UP, or as far as Subic (of course I mean that we will bring our bikes to Subic, and not bike to Subic!).
Biking really reminds me of grade school, when all my friends and I did on weekends was to bike as far as we could! And I also remember Finland where I spent a month as a Junior Counselor when I was 17 in an international summer camp for 11-year old kids. As a JC, part of my job required running errands for the camp, like go to the grocery, post office (no emails then!) and almost everywhere around the small town where we lived. And I had to do the errands on a bike that was so high, I had to literally find something to step on when I get on and off the bike.

Love the idea!!! Can't wait to hear about your biking weekends and see your beautifully toned selves in July.

Hey R,
Am so excited for you and E! What bike did you get? UP main oval is now 1-way and 1/3 of it has been made into a biking lane. We biked there for 2 Saturdays already. Let's go next weekend!
Joey also knows other biking trails but I like UP because of the tree shade :-)
pz
Hey PZ, the bike is very similar to the one on display that I was looking at. I'm not daring enough to get a high-tech bike especially one which I can't reach the ground. I opted for something simple muna. We can't go this weekend yet because we'll be in Subic, maybe the week after? But I'm warning you, I'm so not in shape!
PZ, Oops, I forgot, you will be in the US by next week. Let's plan when you and J get back from the US!
Hey R and PZ, may I join you? What type of bike should I buy? And like you R, I also have to look for a place to step on when I stop or I'd fall. Am very out of shape, so hope we can get this biking thing going consistently. Looking forward to it.
SC
Hi SC, of course you can join! As to the type of bike, I suggest you shop around and try to ride the bike,so you can choose something that you are comfortable with. The cheapest bikes are in Cartimar in Pasay.
Hi R and SC,
My bike is a Jamis mountain bike. We got it from Powerbikes in Rockwell. Joey said you can also get it from Alterra in Libis (beside Libis).
We're going biking in UP this Sunday morning. R, it's ok, next thursday pa naman alis ko, so this Sunday is fine if you're free.
Did you buy biking shorts, biking jersey and helmet na? what's the color of your helmet? ayos ba sa mga tanong?
pz
Hi PZ, we will be in Subic from Saturday to Monday, so we won't be able to make it on Sunday, sayang. Where exactly is Alterra? I know Powerbikes, but the bikes are not within my budget:-) But wow, you have a mountain bike? Maybe I'll try that when I'm more confident na.
Hi R & PZ! What if I don't have all those biking things? Will you leave me way way way way behind ;-)
SC
Hi PZ and SC, I don't have the biking things yet. Jogging pants and rubber shoues lang ang meron ako:-)
hey r and sc,
I think the helmet is important. Alterra is next to Shopwise. Game na!
pz
Dear SC and PZ, oo nga, game na. I suggest you look at R.O.X. (Recreational Outdoor Exchange) in Bonifacio High Street, the bikes and accessories are reasonably priced according to E, plus they have 0% 3months-to-pay payment schemes using HSBC credit cards.
