Now I Know What to Say Part 2

Really, do people have to be so rude? So the next time somebody comments, I'll use all of these, most are exactly my sentiments:

Read the comments too, some really good ideas there!

Seriously, if people are going to be that rude, I won't see them anymore. Not worth my time, nor my friendship. Sana lang wag ko sila makasalubong na!

Are you hearing this from people again? What about the response I suggested many years ago: "At least ako, puwedeng pumayat. Eh ikaw, may chance ka pa bang gumanda?"

One of the best things about living in the US is that folks here believe that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Another great thing is that women my size, who'd be an L in the Philippines, are XS here.

I guess there will always be people who would try to put other people down.

And those people are each a big bundle of insecurity, negativity and spite. We should really feel sorry for folks like them. Anyone who feels the need to put others down most likely leads a miserable life.

Thinking of this from a diff perspective, you know that we grew up in a culture where "Ay, tumataba/ pumapayat ka" is one way of saying "Hi." Sometimes people who say that don't mean any harm, they just grew up thinking it's OK. People probably say it to them, too.

I bet MN-C would love #20, but couldn't imagine you saying that.

Actually, I agree with Sweet D, the "pumapayat/tumataba" comment is more often than not just small talk. Para lang may masabi, though we should really start thinking of something else better to break the ice. Of course you would know better, depends on who made that comment. At least ikaw kamo, naka LV, Chanel,Goyard. ;-)
