Are We Working Too Hard?

I just thought about this now. In addition to the 8-hour working days (which is really more like 10 hours because I would usually stay after work hours or work at home), I also work an additional 3 hours every Monday and Wednesday teaching(not counting the travel time which amounts to about 2 hours, and the preparation of lectures, exams and grading the exams which could be as much as 5 hours a week). So it turns out, I work more than 56 hours a week.

Hubby on the other hand usually works on weekends for the family business, in addition to his work in a multinational company.

Wala lang, gave me more reasons to enjoy our time together and to indulge in things that we enjoy.

hey regina,

Well, you know what they say ... work hard, play hard! You deserve to also relax and indulge yourselves.

Darling, as someone who used to work 70- to 80-hour weeks, 56 seems like a breeze. But now that I am (so far) a childless housewife busy with maybe 10 hours a week of housework, chores and errands, I do think you and the hubby are super-duper-overworked.

However, what's important is that you both love what you do and love keeping yourselves busy. So, basta happy ka, oks lang 'di ba? There are many people out there who are so passionate about their jobs/businesses that I can't imagine them retiring ever.

Yikes, 80 hours? I should feel lucky to be working my 56+ hours, then...
