Chowking was one of my and E's favorite fast food restaurants in recent months because of its Tofu (aka Tokwa) and Siomai. Today, after a looooonnnggg day in school, E said that we should just have dinner at home and if I could just buy dinner from Chowking. The Shell C-5 branch was along the way and I ordered our dinner there, which included 3 orders of Tofu, worth P108. When the guy came with my orders already in a bag, I just asked if it was complete and when he said yes, I left hurriedly, being so tired and hungry!
When I got home, the 3 orders of Tofu were nowhere to be found!!! As in I was kicking myself for not checking before I left the restaurant. I was so mad that I called their "customer service hotline", which unfortunately no one answered. So I sent a text message narrating my experience, and finally ending with "Why do you put your phone number in the receipt as a number to call when you don't even answer your phone???" , complete with the three question marks at the end. And I wasn't satisfied with that, I sent a rather long email to them. My complete order by the way was worth P388, which I now regret spending on Chowking products.
And I vowed never to return to any of their restaurants until my text or email is answered, and that depends on what kind of response I get!

Sorry about that, Reg. Have had the same thing happen to me a few times, too, so have learned to check my order before leaving the restaurant.
Fortunately, restaurants here are generally quite conscious of customer service. They're quick to acknowledge any mistakes and bend over backwards to make up for them.
It happens in banks as well. My husband withdrew money from a reputable bank and was given one bundle of P500's. My usually careful husband didn't count the bills that day. Much to his dismay, one of the P500 bill was a P100 bill. He informed the branch manager the next day, but nothing could be done as he had already left the bank and realized his mistake long after he had left the bank. And to think, valued client pa siya. Kakainis!

Hi SC, I still think that the bank should replace that P100. If your husband is a valued client they shouldn't doubt his intentions. Naman, what is P400? Kung ako sa kanya, i would leave that bank na!!!
